Hi

I am going to write in this blog more frequently.
Ever since i stop writing i have no more followers/can't seem to spell

AND STILL HAVE BAD FRAGMENTS AND SENTENCE STRUCTURE.

MY LIFE IS PRETTY GOOD IN LA.
Here are some highlights.

1. Met the creator of L word.
2. Met the producer of Amazing race.
3. Been at the produced by conference.
4. Able to drive comfortably in Los Angeles.
5. Biking down 20+ miles from Venice to Hollywood.
6. Experience and stayed by the beach for 10 days.
7. Staying in a great apartment, with a pool and gym.
8. Only 18 days but I've been to Burbank, Pasendena, Glendale, Hollywood, Westhollywood, Westwood, Culver City, Venice
9. Made Christina and Laura at the produced by conference who is going to hang out with me.
10. Went out with the cute bike boy from Venice.
11. Went to GAYPRIDE and dance and dance like mad with RONA! (I wonder what will people think when they see the two of us)
12. Secured 2 internships.
13. Got to go out with Dennis from HERE! (TV NETWORK) Great guy who is willing to teach me everything.
14. Rona - the person who takes really really really good care of me
15. Meeting Shoes to get my present from ANGELINE!!
16. Did shopping - bought 2 pair of shoes/2 pants/ 1 running shoes/ 3 shirts
17. Lost 2kg since I've arrived

I should count my blessing.
I am happy to be here! :):)

10 things.

1. Left hand driving and cars are so damn cheap.
2. Nobody really visits fastfood like KFC/Burgerking
3. Nobody really likes Walmart (but i am curious to go)
4. No chilli sauce, only hot sauce
5. Food comes in huge huge portion. (if you cannot finish you can tabao)
6. Not many shopping malls like sg.
7. Even if there were clothes, none would really fit me and their designs are very floral kind. (I've to go to the kids section btw)
8. You can turn right even though its red (as long as no traffic)
9. Everyone is shocked that Singaporeans speak english
10. Tipping is 15-20%

i didnt sleep last night
stayed overnight in school to work on my scriptment.

ohyah ive been to toilet like 5 times.
something wrong w my bowel.

one day before a major deadline is due, my lecturer said my story is too ambitious and would like me to redo.
well this is ontop of me having 10 pages of scriptment as well as a consultation w him.

she is the type that most women will envy.
despite her petite figure, she is everything but fragile.

standing at barely 1.55m, she's a woman with a strong character.
whom gave up her well paid job to look after the kids.
whom sent me to tuition classes, swimming, tennis, ballet, piano, computer without fail.
who waiting for us by the pool side without fear for the 2 hours we had swimming classes just to make sure we're safe.
on top of the fact that we have a life guard on standby.

you see.
my family, (dad) has a condition and most of his family members are suffering from it.
and because of this, my mum's always keeping a look out for us.
she's afraid that we've seizures.

she gave me what i wanted.
and when we're all finally older, she decide to pursue her studies.
from getting a certificate, to getting a degree to a masters.
and so she's juggling both work and studies.

you see.
mum's never tired of learning.
she don't just learn, she learns well.

she doesn't discriminate anybody.
for all i know, she's a great influence to ALL, almost controlling in a good way.
she lends her help when most needed.

at work.
she's one who doesn't slack.
one who will stand up against injustice.

so focus, so determined, so hardworking.

she aims to do her best at every single thing and thats why we seldom get to see her as we grow older.

when i complain that she doesn't watch any of my football matches.
she surprises me by turning up for one, cheering me on.

when i say i miss her cooking
she surprises me by wipping out a dishes

at home.
she's the nagging mother whom never fails to get up EARLY every morning to make us breakfast.
for my dad, she prepared him oats and milk
for my sis, she prepared bread w cabbage and ham.
for my brother, i don't think he eats in the morning.
for me, the simple action of pouring cereal into my plastic bag/lunch box.

every sat will be barley water for us as she reminds us to bring a bottle out.
or cut fruits in which she nicely puts it in plastic bag for our convenience.
she takes special notice of every single food i like or dislike.
if she cooks a dish i dislike, she'll make it up with one specially for me.

that's mum.
the REAL superwoman.

today
mum went through a small operation to take out the screws in her back.

it was causing her pain. (she had the screw 2 years back)
she seemed really unwell and......tired.

but i know that she'll bounce back fine and tougher then before.

i don't mean it literally.
i mean it like for example while i was in HONGKONG i took that ride at ocean park with the girls.
we were literally there for a full 10 seconds because plunging down.

and you just found 30 bucks stash up somewhere which you previously left and totally forgotten about it.

or that feeling of love.
whereby the girl you like or have a crush on finally takes notice on you?

that feeling?
this feeling is exactly how i feel right now -when i've an idea.
an explosion of ideas that keep my heart pumping really hard.
that makes me excited.

let me share two happy things that happened today.

well.
we were suppose to have a final story pitch and this pitch will determined if we made it or not. (if we made it we can pitch to the singapore film commission)
and so today we pitched
and for a while each of us sat there, talking about politics and the world and finally andy broke to us.

andy: you're in. you can pitch on monday.. but don't disappoint me!

YEAH YEAH YEAH.
i am so happy i think i could have screamed. okay jump for joy.

okay the second thing.
so when i head to my car (been driving to school pretty much this two weeks) i got a shocked of my life
my wheel was clammed and to release it i needed to pay a hundred dollar fine.
omg omggggggg.

that's like omg rightttt seriously.
even if you dont put coupon only fine 30 bucks now its like a 100 bucks thing.
and then you know what keep coming into my mind?
indra's word.

indra's my classmate who drives to school everyday.
so a couple of days back i asked him

g: so indra, dont you ever get fined?
i: nope
g: but you drive to school everyday. what are the chances of you getting the green coupon. out of ten times?
i: 10 times.

THE GREEN COUPON IS A WARNING LETTER BTW. np issue that out to you when you park in their red lots.
so when you hear someone who drives to school so frequently and don't ever get fine, ofcourse you listen to them right?
I DID.
AND I STILL GOT THE MY WHEEL CLAMMED.

so i head down to the estate management office to speak my case.
this nice malay dude was explaining very nicely about the case and that once they had my wheel clammed i HAD to pay the fine.
once clammed = must pay.
but ofcos to me, there's no such logic. there's always a way out.

so i politely asked to speak to another person with a higher authority.

this lady i forgot her name.
here hows it went or roughly.

g: hi. (shake her hand) my name is regina and i am currently studying in chapman university. well, my wheel was clammed and i just wanna say that its my bad. the whole thing was my fault. i parked 3 consequetive days. but what i wanna say is. i had the car for 3 days since my dad's sick and i didnt find it reasonable to pay 80 bucks for a semester parking.

lady continues to listen

g: so i know i am wrong so i did put HDB parking coupons to show that i really needed the space (ofcos this was a..white lie)

lady chuckles. malay guy also chuckles. porky who was with me told me she wanted to lie when i said that because that doesn't prove anything. but it really does.

WHY?

the last time i didnt have night coupon i place day coupons as a replacement i got away.
so there's the logic behind.
put better then dont put.
put fine 6 bucks, dont put fine 30. get it?

so anyw she went on and on about how i was warned w all the green slips and how it was highlighted in red.

BTW i am such an ass. those green slips, i left it on my windscreen even after i drove out of school. HEHE
so back to the topic.

throughout i was sincere in my apologies and when i told her i only drove consequtively for 3 days. she didn't believe and even called my dad to check. and you know, i don't lie except for the white lie and so it was proven that i really drove my dad's car and not some other car.

so now she trust me.

after getting her to trust me.
once again i apologize and share w her one secret about Indra.
HEHE because she said 2 times and my wheel will be clammed and i ask her why my friend park until now never got clammed.
ofcourse i didnt reveal indra's name or where he parked. HEHHEHE.

so right now she knows im sincere and just an ignorant kid.
i end of saying..

i know this is an impossible task of waiving off the fine. but i assure you, i will never parked at np red lots again know the consequences.
and i flash her my ...smile.

she asked me to give her a minute. in which i ofcourse.

during that minute me and porky were debating about......the results.

and you know what.

i'm starting to doubt.
i see my classmates shooting off their stories without much thought.
their 3 act structure, the conflict, the suspense, the turning point, the lowest point.

and me
i am struggling.
my second act has always this risk of becoming too thin.

people start with a logline. the character. the struggle.

THE THEME.
THE DAMN THEME.

and it has become such a habit...its hard to change. or rather. i still don't see a need t change.

i think of epic stories when actually all i wanted to do is DRAMA.

drama dont sell.

how about that?

i'm not saying mine is like american beauty but if that drama sells,
drama has an audience afterall.

i am going further with my epic scifi story but yet a part of me...doesnt like what i am writing.

just like the time when my group lost my digi cam and i asked them all t pay since its fair and square?

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way... they get hurt, and become smaller (older, and eventually pass on). Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad.

"All my life, I've been the pencil.. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I'm left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have..."

my friend of the same age, recently got married.
i am so happy for her that i think i almost cried while they were playing the video.
memories of our past came floating back.

i remember us playing in our classroom and how she always acted like my dog "goldie".
until today i cant remember why she became my goldie and that we were really happy and dumb.
she knows my brother as well (from church) and so she used to tell my brother about me, how i treated her (nicely) back in school.

you see, she had a slight back problem and wears a brace for 23hours a day i remember.
and i remember knocking of the brace to always wanna hear the sound.
so anyw she was telling my brother about me running down to the canteen and getting her food/bread whenever she was hungry.

so funny right.
i dont remember being SUCH a nice person.
i mean, i know i am nice, but i don't remember all this.

i met my old classmates at the wedding.
oh how i missed them.
6 years flew by and i didnt get to see anyone of them until that night.
they remind me of my past and how i was like.
it was good memories.

this is how life should be.

i don't remember or noticed how ive changed through the years.
for better for worst.
but i am glad, i've all this memories w me.
this are th things that wouldn't change.

i went for facial.
my FIRST time doing facial.
there were so much sucking, applying, vacuuming, cleaning etc etc.
i kinda like it when they wipe my face.
and you know those small surface between my lip and my nose.
i feel very clean but also very painful.

halfway through i was thinkg.

WHAT IF.
this facial thing is all bullshit and th products they use right, is not even safe.
what if after this facial i have a pimple outbreak and only i KENA because..........my skin very sensitive.

i have to give up the good bike t take a lousier bike so cc wouldn't cycle so slow.
but when she take the good bike she also ended up trailing behind.

and so many bangalahs, working outside wave t us! so funny!
later when the bangalahs got into their lorry they even horn at us and wave bye again!

okay cc wasn't that bad.
i think adelene was worst.
today whole day, she was forever behind.

i can cross with both my legs. i can kick high ball. but i can improvise it in the field.
i am not used to kickg the ball at a short distance.

an update of my life.

SCHOOL is the number one.
we are leaving for hongkong on the 20th march and will only be back on the 28th.
janice says that we should get ready our treatments.
i spoke to craig and he says we should get name cards.

and last week was kaydash's birthday
we all went kbox and as usual i didnt need a microphone!
the next day we headed to minds cafe together w angeline t play!

school is finally picking up.
the rest of the weeks were really relax manzxzx
and ive been working out like really working out.

i've ran a total of 4 times.
2 times around my house.
1 time from my house to KAP with michelle

im gonna run again tmrw :)

i feel so good when i worked out.
seriously.
and each time it gets better and i know it because im less tired.

lately.

school life has been tough.
i haven't been in tune with school ever since the start of this semester.
i don't know if its the teachers, or the modules. i think its the teacher.
i feel restless most of the time in school.

past week, i've been fighting really hard for someone, anyone to hear my script.
i rewrote stubbornly.
i choose not to include what i didn't felt like it was needed.
cc says i need to be more open to people's comment so my script will truly reflect its potential.

yesterday i brought cc to the pinnacles to get a skyview of how outram/tajong pagar is like, to only get turned away because we didnt have enough money in our ezlink card.
i was really frustrated and wanted to be really spoilt and demanding because they were the one who didn't state properly.
somemore its a surprise for cc.
nevermind. we'll go back with our dslr this time round.

so.
i missed one lesson for intermidiate screenwritg cos i was late.
missed another for location film making cos i was late.
and now we can't afford to skip 3 or more classes.
means i've been waking up really early and sleeping really lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

i know i sound really dead here.

yes i finally had a hair cut.

pigeons in venice are different as compared to sg.
they are not as fearful, i can stamp my feet damn loudly but they not scared one!
and they dont poop often too thats why many tourists can been seen feeding/holding them

one of my favourite part of the trip is to scare and run after these pigeons.
i would lure them with food (just throw one piece of bread i swear 23432 pigeons will swarm over)

hehehe truly happy okay! but my dad got quite mad cos he insisted the pigeons are damn dirty.

im so so so so so glad that i took the effort to organise bball on saturday!

bball was damn fun! okay although we lose all our games except for the first i think its the company.

i got a scare from my lecturer a few days back when he emailed me and tell me he's gonna give me an incomplete for an assignment i handed in, but apparently he didn't receive.
group mate nadia was so shocked and worried.
but all is settled now.
luckily Ros was my witness to me handing up the hard copy if not i think i sure die.

the holidays has been good so far!
but i know i haven't meet up with a lot of people.

i want to meet up with angeline to play football
meet up with sohhwee and gang to play bball or even to go out. ( we never seem to go out together)
i wanna meet up with chenhui and gang to play bball!!
i want to bring coco to the dog resturant.

adelene keep complaining. say i promise to bring coco and until now never.
i also want a revamp for my room.
its bigger now and i wanna fully ultilise th space.

thanks to cc now my room is already neat.
we just need to complete the paint job and shift a couple of furnitures around and it done.

yesterday.
i went to JB!!!!!!
okay my second time in JB. the first was with cc and yesterday was with cc and her twin.
we caught a sherlock holmes there and had lunch at this HK cafe.

oh right yesterday experience in JB wasn't that pleasant cos we met with a $#%#%# cab driver.
you know when we got in the cab and told him our address, (we wanted to go to this seafood resturant)
and he frigging hell drove at 30km/h
when there is no cars infront of him.
he went up a fly over even and drove at that speed and that is after i told him to drive faster TWO TIMES.
and incase he didnt understand english, i repeated it in malay.

i know i can be really rude at times when i sense that someone is really out to cheat our money.
and this driver was.
so we were talking shortforms however cc and adelene was really worried.
cc had to squeeze my palm everytime i commented.
cos afterall, its JB and not SG.
imagine he bring us go some place and sell us to thailand or what.
ZZZZ so i kept quiet but he continue to drive at his 30km/h paste.

after 10 years, we finally reached.
eh wait edit there, we DIDNT REACHED, he literally dropped us somewhere because he didn't knw where is the place.
then he should have said he didn't know in the first place when i first told him? and worst still, he drove at THAT PACED.
make me really mad and pissed off.
he didn't even stop the meter when we gave him our money and he took another 5 years to return our change.
the cars behind all had to overtake us at some point or another and during the 1 way road they honk behind but the driver still drive that same speed.

asshole.
anyw he mutter something in malay and then drove off.
so three girls in the middle of no where, at 9plus PM in JB.
scary right.
somemore im going out with two girly girls who are twins.
imagine i go out with chenwei or angeline i still not so worried.
chenwei can do a choke slam on people, angeline and me can run really fast.
and if worst come to worst, we can dodge like how we always do in football.

luckily the place we alighted is not those ulu sort. but there's alot of people sitting and taking their dinner at the roadside stalls.
i dontknow which is worst, ulu or many people.

ulu = dangerous, people can hide somewhere and kidnapped us
many people = higher chances of us being robbed.

so while we were walking passed these people, they keep on looking at us you know.
serious.
and i swear the three of us swear to not look so lost, as if we blend in with the locals but obviously we don't.
ade even dont allow me to talk to people and ask them for directions cos i think she scared they know we're not locals.
so at tht point of time i become really scared.

WHAT IF.
the stupid cab driver make a few phone calls to his friends. he know where we alighted and we are prominent enough so i think its pretty obvious to spot us and i look around and realised i was the only one wearing RED. (HEHE)

anyw.
we settle down at some place to have our dinner
initially we were sitting back facing the road but because i was afraid, we all sat facing the road so funny.
dinner was prawn, vege and my favourite meat.
we didnt take photos there but we met with a nice uncle who was selling bread.
he taught us how to speak simple malay so we can blend in with the locals.

thank god.
we got home safely.

i think i wouldn't go JB anytime soon
i think its more scary then bangkok or even shanghai anytime soon
back in shanghai i roamed the streets till almost 12am and its perfectly safe.

those stories about men hacking off a person hand for their watches were all true.
not that i witness.
but yesterday, i really had this really bad feeling.
luckily i had the company.

she's like my meet up once-every-three months friend.
sometimes we only meet up once a year but everything we meet, we can really talk for hours.

it's 3.39 and i can't sleep because i slept from 4pm-9pm just now.
and why did i sleep in the afternoon? because i was DEAD TIRED.
i got up at 6.30 am to accompany cc for the wedding shoot.
actually i didn't "get up" because i didn't even sleep.
and why i didn't sleep because the day before cc and me were planning shots for the wedding.

well.......we were worried.
it's wedding, not nvp projects anymore although its on tape.
once in a life time, only at that moment.

anyw it was fun i guess.
but i was exhausted, very.
